  Smart Clothes for Paintball

There are some recommendations you may want to consider when it comes to clothing at a paintball game. If you want to make sure you do not end up getting bruised, wear pants and a long-sleeved shirt. Dark or camouflage clothing allows you to move around without being incredibly easy to spot. Remember paintball marks do leave stains, so whatever you do wear to game, make sure that you are not attached to it are willing to let go. Finally, comfort is a key factor. You will not have a great time at the game if your clothing is too tight, inadequate for the weather, or otherwise unsuitable for running around.

Developing Accuracy as a Paintball Player

Accuracy is, without a doubt, one of the most important skills that a proficient paintball player needs to possess. Even if your agility and your strategy are excellent, you simply cannot excel without being able to hit your target. Fortunately, this is one area where consistent practice can help anyone become truly skillful. It is a good idea to experiment with different paintball guns during your practice sessions, so you know which ones best fit your style. You should learn to shoot standing, kneeling, sitting, running, and any other type of action position that you can think of. Also, it is a good idea to practice shooting at both stationary and moving targets. You can use objects such as Frisbees or remote-controlled cars, or practice with partners in order to have moving targets to practice shooting at.

Video and Paintball Games: Are They Mutuallly Beneficial?

There are a lot of video games that focus on sniping, or single shooting. There has been some debate as to whether or not these help in a true paintball game. Since the computer is in control of much of the aiming and footwork, there is little question that video games do not help much in these aspects of the sport. On the other hand, in the videogame a certain type of forward thinking and strategy must be applied in order to be victorious. This is one way in which video games can somewhat help with paintball performance. Even in this area, though, single shooter games cannot help you practice working and strategizing with fellow team members. To sum up, field practice is a much more beneficial use of time than the skills gained from single shooter video games.

Paintball Bruises

One of the biggest misconceptions about paintball, and perhaps one of the biggest reasons why people do not get into the game, is the fear of welts and bruises that paintballs can incur. It is definitely true that you will take a lot of hits during a paintball game, and a couple of them might hurt a bit. This is most likely to happen if players are shooting at each other at a close range. Most paintball shots taken over long-distance or in a paintball game hardly cause any pain or bruises. Also, if you are wearing appropriate protective gear, paintball shots should have little effect on you other than to splatter you with paint. There is no reason to keep yourself away from the game as long as you take the precautions of wearing the right gear and making sure everyone understands what is fair and what is not in terms of shooting distance.
